My Music My Life: Some Context
The scores presented are part of my “Creative Exhibition Output” during the last twenty-five (25) years and a fitting tribute to knowledge creation and output, and one part of core academic activities that define my life in academia, the other contribution includes “Refereed Journal” articles, teaching, supervision (more than thirty four years) and mentoring, active research, and administration (having served as Chair of Department of Music and Dance, Dean, School of Visual and Performing Arts, with a combined experience of more than thirteen years. Some of the works were performed locally while others were performed internationally as part of “Art Music” sharing and dissemination. Regarding my professional life, I have cumulative more than thirty (30) years of teaching experience at several universities including Kenyatta University (Kenya, Oregon State University, University of Western Oregon and Northwest Christian College (U.S.A). (Adjunct Professor Positions). My areas of instruction include (i) Music Theory and Counterpoint, (ii) Music Composition, History and Analysis of Western (European) Music, Sound Studio Composition Techniques(iii) Piano and Guitar instruction. As a senior academic member of Department of Music I have been active national committees and Vice Chancellor’s committees charged with providing entertainment solutions and other varied administrative responsibilities.
