Ordinary members must be University lecturers engaged in research in music. They could be from other disciplines such as languages, History, etc.; Student Members include any students pursuing and registered in higher education (Undergraduate or postgraduate) music programmes; Group membership will include groups/institutions involved in the practice of music Associate members –This category is for non-active individuals who have a keen interest in and are willing to support the study and practice of music. They would include music enthusiasts and sponsors/partners. In this category there shall also be other people engaged in music research and documentation, such as journalists

My Music My Life: Some Context The scores presented are part of my “Creative Exhibition Output” during the last twenty-five (25) years and a fitting tribute to knowledge creation and output, and one part of core academic activities that define my life in academia, the other contribution includes “Refereed Journal” articles, teaching, supervision (more than thirty four years) and mentoring, active research, and administration (having served as Chair of Department of Music and Dance, Dean, School of Visual and Performing Arts, with a combined experience of more than thirteen years. Some of the works were performed locally while others were performed internationally as part of “Art Music” sharing and dissemination.

Joyce M. Mochere, is a lecturer at Kabarak University, School of Music and Media (SMM) since September 2016. She holds a PhD in Music Education from Kabarak University (Main Campus), Nakuru. She attained a Master’s degree in Music Education and a Bachelor of Education in Arts (Music and English/Literature) from Kenyatta University. She teaches Music theory, Music composition, History and Analysis of African and Western music, Church music, Aurals, and Music Practicals (Piano and Voice) at the department of Music and Performing Arts. She is Kabarak University’s internal auditor, a chairperson of the Innovation and Business Incubation, Innovation Capacity Building Training coordinator, and an innovation champion at Kabarak University, among other responsibilities.

A native of Nairobi, Kenya, Duncan is currently on the faculty at Kenyatta University’s
Department of Music and Dance in Nairobi, as Lecturer. He also serves as Organist /Choir
Director at St Andrews’ Presbyterian Church, Nairobi. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
in Music (Organ Performance) from Augustana University College, in Alberta, Canada,
(1999), a Master of Music (Choral Conducting) from the University of Alberta (2003), and a
PhD in Music Education from the School of Music at the University of Florida (2012). While
in Canada, he was the Chapel Organ Scholar at Augustana University College, Assistant
Conductor for the University of Alberta Mixed Chorus, Choral Assistant for the Richard
Eaton Singers in Edmonton as well as a member of University of Alberta Madrigal Singers
and the professional chorus PROCORO Canada. In Florida, he was the Founder/Director of
the first ever University of Florida Africa Choir Pazeni Sauti, started in September 2009.
